L.I.F.E. is a family-friendly collaboration sponsored by United Way of Southeast Missouri. Collaborators include: Boys and Girls Club, Cape Area Family Resource Center, Community Caring Council, University of Missouri Extension Service, Cape Girardeau and Jackson Public Schools, Grace United Methodist Church, and Southeast Missouri Hospital. The L.I.F.E. Initiative began in the Fall of 2005 serving 86 youth, 12 parents, and 24 families and currently has served 172 youth, 44 parents, and 62 families.
