Stuff the Bus

It is estimated that more than 1000 families in our area cannot afford the basic school supplies needed for their children. That is why United Way is partnering with KFVS12, Withers Broadcasting and Walmart to collect basic school supplies for children in need during our annual “Stuff the Bus” campaign. School buses will be parked in front of participating Walmart stores on August 5th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. during Missouri’s tax-free weekend.

Examples of supplies needed include:

·    Single-Subject Notebooks

·    Mechanical Pencils

·    Loose Leaf Paper/Filler Paper

·    2-Pocket Folders

·    Ink Pens

·    Crayola 24 Count Crayons

·    2 Pack Pink Eraser

·    Bottled School Glue

·    Scissors

·    3 Pack of Glue Sticks

We also appreciate cash donations delivered either to the United Way office or through our website, www.unitedwayofsemo.org, under “Give.”  A cash donation of just $10 can provide a backpack full of supplies for one child.
